Captain Christian, originally from Santiago de Chile, discovered his passion for the sea at a young age.

He became a dive instructor and captain, leading expeditions on his first sailboat and eventually sailing from Chile to the Caribbean, where he has resided for the last twenty years. In 2014, he found his paradise in the Bahamas.

With around 45,000 sea miles, Christian is an experienced captain eager to take you to the most beautiful islands. He also enjoys fitness, yoga, and healthy food.

For the past six years, Iris has pursued her dream of curating culinary experiences on yachts with her partner Chris.

Growing up with a chef as father, food has always been central to her life, and her anthropology/music background enhances her approach to creating soul-nourishing meals.

Dedicated to offering unique dining adventures, she crafts dishes inspired by global flavors aboard the Akasha. Her focus is on healthy, nourishing and balanced meals with an extra dosis of love. Join her for an extraordinary journey of culinary delight at sea.

If it hadn't been for Chris and Iris meeting randomly at a farmers market in Miami, Bahamas Sailing Charters might never have existed. It was Chris's deep love for the ocean and Iris's creative passion for hospitality that laid the groundwork for what we offer.
